How to Install Cyanogenmod on Infinix Zero & Zero 2

CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmware of vendors.They just released custom Rom for Infinix users. So If you are a user of Infinix Zero or Zero2, you can install this custom ROM right away by following the steps I'm about to enlist.

Prerequisites for installation: 

Before you install this Rom, there are certain requirements which you are bound to meet. These requirements are usually the same and must be met before flashing any ROM.

• Whenever you flash your phone with a file, be it a ROM or a Custom Recovery, you should always make a backup of your data. This backup will be used to reverse any damages that may occur in case the flashing process wasn't succesfull.
• Charge your phone. make sure its up to 80% and above so that it doesn’t shutdown during installation.
• You must have a custom Recovery installed in your phone, whether TWRP or CWM
• Make sure your phone model is Infinix Zero or Infinix Zero 2.

1. First, download the Rom from the official website. You can  alternatively, you can get it from HERE
2. Move the downloaded  ROM file to your SD card where yu can easily locate it in the recovery menu.
3. Boot your phone into recovery mode. by press and holding volume down and power button simultaneously.
4. Once in the recovery mode, wipe all wipe-ables because this is a fresh Rom (Data, Dalvik Cache).
5. In the recovery menu click on ‘install from ZIP’. Then locate the Rom file you downloaded earlier through the recovery menu and click on it.
6. Wait for the installation process to be to completed. Then restart your phone afterwards.
7. That’s it. Your device will restart in CyanogenMod. (Please note that the first time boot may take up to 5-10 minutes)
