Meet Eddy Zillan, an Ohio Teenager Who Used His Entire Savings to Become a Cryptocurrency Millionaire

There are several ways to attain success in this life, all you have to do is to look closely at the options around you and you'll definitely find something that will make it worthwhile for you. Take for instance Eddy Zillan an Ohio teenager who used his entire savings to invest in cryptocurrency and 3 years later he became a cryptocurrency millionaire.

As of 3 years ago Eddy was 15 years, and legally a 15 isn't allowed to own a bank account or crypto wallet on a cryptocurrency trading platform like Coinbase, but he started it anyway and then opened another trading platform called Kraken, then he cautiously purchased $100 worth of the cryptocurrency ether. After which he spent the past three years studying cryptocurrencies and now offers his services as a cryptocurrency consultant at his company and being a Cryptocurrency Millionaire while at it.

Just like everything little thing that no one knew it'll turn out to become a massive success, Zillan admitted that at first, he was skeptical about putting his money into the fledgling cryptocurrency market, which he'd first heard about in reference to the now-defunct drug-trading website Silk Road. And together with the lack of credible resources offering advice on how to invest in cryptocurrencies. In his own words he said;

"At the time I invested, there were no YouTubers, there were no investors, there was no one I could learn from," "There were no books or mentors, and it was really hard to teach myself a formal education in that field."
A few hours later Zillan checked his accounts after investing his first $100, he found he'd already made $10. Though it may not sound like much, Zillan says he was floored. "I thought: 'Wow, I just made a 10% return in a day. That's crazy," The next day he invested $1000, $5000 a week later and then $6000 in the preceding week.

I risked everything he said, a total of $12,000 was what I invested which was money I made from teaching tennis lessons, along with a tidy nest egg I'd receive from gifts and his bar mitzvah a few years earlier.

Most parents would grow some serious concerns, which is normal by the way, and Zillan's parents weren't any different than most parents. There were mixed feelings among his parents, his mother approved while his father cautioned him against this extremely risky venture he's embarking on but his (Zillan's) willingness to delve into cryptocurrency became stronger days after days.

His returns had begun to skyrocket within the first few months of his initial investments. As these income were growing higher, Zillan became more enthusiast digital currency and was keen about was reading about cryptocurrencies. Sometimes he'd spend hours daily on cryptocurrency forums or chatting with other investors online. Soon, he was dabbling in alternate cryptocurrencies — also known as altcoins — and day trading.

Despite the promising income and results which he didn't expect to have come in a space of 1 month, Zillan didn't stop at the income he'd already made, rather he continued educating himself on cryptocurrencies with the few resources available online. Zillan says his knowledge of the market mostly stems from his conversations with other investors and people who created cryptocurrencies. In one short year, my initial investment had snowballed and my entire cryptocurrency portfolio had tallied a staggering $350,000.

He stated the obvious fact about cryptocurrency which is the fact that making smart investments in cryptocurrencies is the key to everything, good and opportune timing and more importantly,  requires more skill than simply opening an account on Coinbase.

Today, Zillan says his portfolio sits comfortably at over $1 million and that he's turning his eye to another venture in the cryptocurrency field - which is advising through his company. He doesn't underestimate his good timing, but he credits his enormous returns to his business acumen and his understanding of digital currencies.

According to him, the primary purpose of this company is to offer cryptocurrency-investing advice to both businesses-oriented and novice investors. Zillan, who has charged $250 an hour for private cryptocurrency-investing services in the past, says his goal isn't necessarily to make money from the company, but "to make the crypto community bigger."

"I want to see cryptocurrencies as the future," he said, this week, he plans to launch the program's consumer-focused app, Coinalert.ly, designed to be a mix of resources for cryptocurrency investors, including trading tips, guides, explainers, and news. Zillan says the app fills a void in the cryptocurrency market which is a lack of resources with investing device, despite the growing influence of cryptocurrencies.

It is worth mentioning that Eddy Zillan (a high school student that recently turned 18) isn't the first to offer cryptocurrency advice. Though there have been several successful cryptocurrency traders before him, Zillan says his expertise sets him apart from other cryptocurrency advisers on the market. While others might resort to tricks or manipulation to profit off unwitting clients, my only motivation is to educate people. "I'm not some guy off of Wall Street," he said. "There's no motive or reason for me to try to trick people."

Zillan describes himself as the "Crypto Millionaire" he's seen severally on his website, pictured in a tropical location or beside a flashy sports car. (Zillan drives three luxury vehicles, which he says were purchased with a mix of profits from cryptocurrencies and early-stage investments, and money from his parents, who are both wealthy business people.)

In a particular photo, he was pictured smiling broadly beside a painting of himself in which he's depicted as the infamous Wall Street mogul Jordan Belfort in a scene from the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street."

The caption reads: "The wolf of Crypto Street."

When asked why he's comparing himself to one of the most notoriously debauched Wall Street traders in recent memory, Zillan describes the images as "a marketing type of deal" that shouldn't be confused with the efficacy of his company.

"Sure, it's very flashy. Wolf of Wall Street was shitty penny stocks, but what we do is completely different," he said. "I just use that for marketing. What's going to catch your eye? Some words, or a picture of that?"
