Paypal Dumps Nigeria And Picks Zimbabwe

Paypal is an American Online Payment System founded in 1998, is one of the world's largest Internet payment companies. It is used to send money, make an online payment, receive money or set up a merchant account.

Recently, With 72% percent of online consumers shopping on a smartphone, PayPal ranked Nigeria as the 3rd  in Mobile shopping, with India coming 2nd at (82 percent)  and China 1st at (86 percent). In 2014, PayPal launched their services in Nigeria and was the same time, was launched in Zimbabwe and some other African Countries with receiving of funds through their platform deactivated thereby limiting users to only send funds but won’t be able to receive.

Despite the fact that Nigerian mobile shoppers reportedly spent N128.1 billion ($610 million) in 2015 using PayPal, and on target for N172 billion ($819 million) this year, despite the fact Nigeria is one of the most populated African countries with the biggest market, PayPal neglected Nigeria and welcomed Zimbabwe with open hands.
