WhatsApp is undoubtedly the number one social media and IM app used worldwide. Though the launch of Google Allo sometime ago really did question the popularity of the platform, but WhatsApp on the other hand, has taken necessary precautions in ensuring that their number spot is untaken and their popularity meter remains in tact by adding several features to the Social IM App.
Some of the newly introduced features include 2-Step Verification, Video Call, Sharing Gif Animation, etc, and recently, whatsapp began their Video Streaming feature. This WhatsApp Video Streaming feature lets a WhatsApp user to first view a video message, before downloading it. Before now, when a video is shared to you in Whatsapp Chat, you are required to make a complete download of the video before you can be able to view it. But this new Video Streaming feature lets you have a peek of the shared video before downloading it.
From the video preview above, you can see that the regular Download Button is now replaced with a Play Button and its is located as the shared video. So when ever a video is shared, you can play this video and see what's in it before downloading it to your phone.
This video stream feature is only available for beta testers in version 2.16.365. You can become a beta tester today, if you don't wish to wait for this feature to become official and available to every whatsapp user.
