Yahoo Will Be Renamed To Altaba After Verizon's $4.8 Billion Acquisition Deal

Yahoo has been known for providing electronic mail services. Once you say Yahoo, the first thing that comes to mind is email. Their services have been enjoyed by many over the years by many. But recently, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, has been faced with many setbacks which involved over a billion accounts compromised.

Yahoo to rename to Altaba

Now, the setbacks have been quite a number for the tech company to handle, and that is why it is currently on sale. Verizon Wireless an American company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Verizon Communications that offers wireless telecommunications products and services decided to buy Yahoo's digital service for a proposed fee of $4.8 billion.

Once the deal is completed, Verizon intends to get the company back on track, and changes need to be back. One of the changes is to rename Yahoo! To Altaba. Another change that will be made is replacing some of the board members starting from the CEO, Co-founder, and some others.
