SnapChat has a New Feature Called Ghost Mode, Here is How to Activate it.

Snap Map is Snapchat's which allows users to see where all of your Snaphat contacts and friends are and what they’re doing. This feature comes in the latest version of the app and gets enabled once you update yours. After making the update, you will be prompted to set up location sharing when you go into the Snap Map features. This feature lets you share your current location as well as see your friend's locations. 

But sometimes while trying to make things merrier we tend to forget some little things such as privacy. So if you have to update your SnapChat to the latest version, be it iPhone or Android, and would want your location to stay private, then ghost mode is for you and here is how to activate SnapChat ghost mode

Method A)    Open your Snapchat and then swipe left to go to the Stories screen. Pinch inward on this screen and be careful you don’t accidentally tap on a story or suggested account. You will be taken to the Map screen.

Now on the map screen, tap the gear icon at the top then enable Ghost mode in Snapchat from the settings screen that opens. When you have Ghost mode enabled, your location is hidden while you use Snapchat.

Method B)    Another alternative method of enabling it is to edit your Snap Map preferences. You can do so by heading to the settings inside Snapchat. Hit the Ghostface icon in the top left, then tap on the icon in the top right on your information page. From there, scroll down and tap on “See My Location”. On the next page, simply toggle “Ghost Mode” on.

Method C:    Another way of restricting Snapchat to access your location is by turning off your location and GPS of your smartphone. Or by editing your location preferences and restricting Snapchat from having location access.

To turn off or restrict Snapchat from having location access in iPhone, go to Settings --–> Snapchat  --–> Location and switch it from “While Using the App” to “Never.”

To achieve the same on Android, find Snapchat from the apps menu in your Settings, then select “Permissions” and toggle off “Location.”

Or you can generally turn off location and GPS feature on your phone. This, of course, will make all other apps like Facebook, Instagram, etc. not to location access.
