You'd agree with me that the cost of data is quite high in the country and no one seems to have a very good explanation as to why it's like that. Airtel users in India and Kenya to mention only but few enjoys a massive amount of data with a small amount of money. But here in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. Despite all that, several telecoms in Nigeria still do the best they can to provide cheap and affordable data plans for their use.
Etisalat, for instance, is currently rewarding her users with 1gb worth of data for ₦200. MTN has also been rewarding her users with 100% bonus on every data bundle they purchase but that seem to be only during festive periods like Christmas, New Year or Easter. In this Ramadan season, MTN wants to reward you with 50% bonus of every data plan you purchase. Now I do not know if everyone is eligible for this, but you're surely good to go if you received a text message which reads:
Enjoy 50% bonus on 1.5GB. Dial *131*106# to get 2.25GB for N1000. Get 50% bonus on EVERYTIME you buy till 18/06/17. Dial *131*1# for more plans
But before you go ahead to try this out, there are some things you should note.
✔ It can be used on any internet enabled device like modem, iPhone, iPad, Nokia Java and Symbian phones, Android phones etc.
✔ It doesn't zap at all.
✔ It is valid for 30 days after activation
✔ This is not a cheat or trick. This is purely from MTN. Once you are eligible, you are good to go.
✔ You will freely receive 50% of every data you purchase from now till 18th June and it will be valid for 30days.
So what do you think of it? The MTN double data bonus might not be the way it used to be, but this is surely better than buying 1.5gb for 1k
