ZTE's Foldable Smartphone Axon M Could Be Announced This October

Whether they are all rumors of not, whether they will later turn out to be true, one thing I know is that the era of foldable smartphones will be here sooner and they will surely debut with Android OS. In the past, we have seen several sightings of foldable smartphones like The Galaxy X, and the most recent Lenovo Cplus which is claimed to be Lenovo's concept of a foldable smartphone. Now, while we wait for foldable smartphones to arrive, allow me to introduce Axon M, which is a Foldable Smartphone from ZTE.

Rumours of this new foldable phone from ZTE has been going around the internet for some days now, it is codenamed Axon Multy and could be launched as the ZTE Axon M.  Thanks to Android Authority, we now have a sneak-peek of what device looks like and an insider review of the specs which are as follows;

It comes with dual (Full HD) displays and when folded, the handset looks to function as a regular smartphone and will be sub-10-millimeter in thickness. The two screens are also said to meet at the hinge and fold out to form a wide 6.8-inch 2,160 x 1,920 viewing surface.

Qualcomm's very own Snapdragon 820 chipset will oversee the-under-the-hood processing operations, backed by a 4GB RAM and 32G internal storage, and will be electronically powered by a 3120mAh non-removable battery.

The foldable smartphone will feature a single 20-megapixel camera with face detection, no confirmation for a selfie shooter for now, neither is there any hints as to which version of Android OS the phone will boot when launched.

ZTE Axon M is likely to be launched on October 17 when ZTE will hold a press conference in New York City and will start shipments in the US, then followed by the rest of the world and there is no insight at this time in regards of the starting price
