Over the weekend many iPhone users complained that their iPhones have been crashing starting from Saturday and Sunday. Well, the good news is that you're not alone and bad news is that it sucks. I mean, really, iPhones are the most or one of the most expensive smartphones in the market but recently there's been a setback.

And over the weekend an iOS bug appeared to be triggered and it made several iPhones to crash mostly whenever they receive a notification. The crash was even worse the notification was auto-generated from an app like Facebook, Whatsapp, pretty much any social media app.

It was later gathered by Apple engineers that when an iPhone user receives these notifications, the bug causes processor usage in iPhone to spike to 100 percent. That, in turn, causes your device to heat up, which then causes it to reset and this cycle was in a loop as the phone was getting notifications at intervals.

Another iPhone user reported that his phone was sending useless and meaningless notifications which he believed were meant for somebody else, now how he got those notifications is a mystery. Woke up this morning and my iPhone started to restart by itself. I can use it to make calls without issue, but apps and text messages have to be quick Before it quickly restarts to a black screen and the spinning star thing before it is fine for another minute. But whatever the case is, here is how to fix your iPhone by yourself and stop the random crashing;

Try to update your device to iOS 11.2. After you tap Download and Install, the download will continue even if your device restarts. Wait for the update to complete.

If you can’t update, turn off notifications for all the apps on your device, then update your device to iOS 11.2:

1. Tap on Settings >>> Notifications.

2. Tap an app, then turn off Allow Notifications. Repeat this step for each app.

3. Update your device to iOS 11.2.

4. After updating, tap Settings >>> Notifications and turn Allow Notifications on again for each app.
