Tstv which is the first indigenous digital satellite cable television network to operate in Nigeria was officially launched on October 1, 2017, and then promised to officially commence their commercial transmission on November 1. But since then nobody heard back from them anywhere till now when the management revealed that their test transmission is completed and that their decoders would be in the market within the next one week for all intending customers to buy.
The Public Relations Officer of the TStv in the person of Mr. Ernest Essien disclosed this on Friday in Abuja. He disclosed this why answering Nigerians query as to why the satellite TV provider is yet to commence public sales 2 months after it launched on October 1.
Mr. Ernest further went on to assure that the service provider was committed to making sure that all the intending customers should have their decoders before Christmas.
“We are almost done with our test transmission and we are just putting some finishing touches and hopefully by the grace of God, between now and next week the decoders will be out for sale. We are informing Nigerians that they must enjoy their Christmas with their decoders. So before Christmas, the decoders will be everywhere in the market”.
“We are keeping our promises on the channels and all the channels including BEing Sports channels are there with even more other channels that were not included in our bouquet before. “We have better channels that are coming and the total number of channels will be over 70,’’ Mr. Essien said.
The price of TStv decoder still remains ₦5,000 with 20gb worth of mobile data and 1-month free subscription while subsequent subscription of ₦3,000 comes with 10gb worth of data and a 1-month premium subscription both view pay as you view options.
