Nimbus Data ExaDrive, Unveils The Largest Capacity SSD Ever Made With Capacity of 100TB

Before now, Samsung seems the technology company with the title of making the data drive with the highest capacity. But barely 1 month of earning that title, they've already being ousted by Nimbus Data, a flash memory hardware company from Irvine, California.

The company in a press release unveiled their very own new pocket-sized ExaDrive SSD can store a whopping 100TB of data, making it ideal for data centers and edge servers for IoT services, or just individuals.

2 Distinct Features of ExaDrive Nimbus Data are;

1.   It uses 85 percent less power per TB of storage

2.   It is really small in size for a storage drive worth 100TB which has its own perks like

          it allows them to fit more drives in server racks
        it won't require a large amount of space
        It won't require much to cool off

Nimbus says that a standard rack kitted with its drives will hold over 100 petabytes (1 petabyte = 1,000 TB).

There is no word on the exact price tag on the ExaDrive but you can expect it to cost more than Samsung’s 15TB SSD which launched from mid-2016 at a cost of $10,000 and is expected to launch this summer
