Old and New Method on How To Enable YouTube Dark Mode on PC Using Google Chrome

Having dark mode enabled on Youtube isn't exactly a breaking news anymore, it's been available for over 1 year now as discovered by a Reddit user. Having a dark screen has several advantages such as help protect your eyes, and enable you to see properly on your screen especially at night.
To Enable YouTube Dark Mode on PC

With Google's continuous effort to make their services look cleaner on all platforms, enabling YouTube dark mode on PC just got easier as it can be done with a single click. And I will be sharing the 2 methods here and now, in case method one didn't work for you, the second method will.

How to Activate YouTube Dark Mode (Old trick)


1.   Your Chrome or any other Chrome-based web browser you are using musn't be later than version 57.

2.   Now get to Chrome's developer menu by pressing Ctrl+Shift+I on your keyboard. Or  Optin+Command+I for Mac. And if any of these steps is too techy for you, just access the developer menu via Chrome menu.

3.   Now click on the Console section paste the following code and hit Enter:
document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=fPQ4jCL6EiE"

4.   Close and reload YouTube after pasting the code, and now to access YouTube Dark Mode, you need to click on your avatar. (It is usually at the top)

5.   Click on Dark Mode to find the on and off toggle. Use the toggle and activate or deactivate the YouTube Dark Mode.

How to Activate YouTube Dark Mode (New trick)

1.   Simply need to visit https://www.youtube.com/new 

2.   Hit the Try Now button. 

3.   Choose Dark Theme option from the profile icon or hamburger icon if you aren’t signed in.
