Gizmos are actually taking the order of the day in our daily activities where technology is concerned. From Apple's Siri to Google Allo, then Zuckerberg's Jarvis, Alibaba Internet Car, and now Nokia which just resurrected from death has joined the race by launching its first and very own digital assistance, Multi-purpose Intuitive Knowledge Assistant, MIKA
According to the Finnish tech giant, “There is always a constant need to search for information/resources, and MIKA, being a fully customized digital assistant, will improve the operations and efficiency of telecom operators by providing faster access to critical information. Thereby reducing the amount of time spent searching information resources. Once that is done, it will enable operators to focus wholly on the critical business tasks without being distracted by the complexities of multi-technology network environments“.
MIKA is the first digital assistant that is trained specifically for the telecom industries. It will offer automated assistance and save time and efforts of the workers and also, it will help the skilled workers to concentrate on the critical tasks first. Multi-purpose Intuitive Knowledge Assistant is customized to support the specific needs of telecoms, and can deliver recommendations based on experience from networks around the world," he added.
In addition to launching a digital assistance, Nokia also introduced Predictive Repair, a service is geared towards enabling operators to reduce the costs and improve network quality by moving away from break-fix approaches to hardware maintenance. Predictive Repair care service can predict hardware equipment failures and recommend replacements up to 14 days in advance!!! and has a 95% accuracy!!! These recommendations will allow operators to improve efficiency by avoiding unnecessary site visits, wasted operations efforts, excessive inventory, and false 'No Fault Found' returns.
Nokia Predictive Repair is the first service of its kind in the telecommunications industry. It is available is to telecoms operators that use Nokia 3G and 4G equipment.
The Nokia MIKA Digital Assistant as a Service is now available for customer trials and will be demonstrated at the Nokia booth at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona (Hall 3, Stand 3A10) between February 27 and March 2. Nokia Predictive Repair will be available for customer trials in March 2017.
