Back in 2016, FaceBook introduced "Live" which is a feature lets users share live video and let users who are their friends and followers watch it. For some weeks now, FaceBook have been working on how to monetize the videos posted on the platform, and finally, it is here. You can now get paid for any video you shared on FaceBook whenever you Go Live.
Last week, the company opened an opportunity to the general public to make a couple of dollars, so long as they have over 2k followers and can get at least 300 people to watch one of their live broadcasts at the same time. And when that happens, Facebook will share 55% of the ad revenues with those live broadcasters. However, this new feature is still in beta stage and it is strictly on an invitation.
Once you meet Facebook’s qualifications, they will reach out to you with an invitation you to have ads inserted into your live video via a notification. If you click and accept it, your first 15-second ad from the Facebook ad network could run 4 minutes into your broadcast, momentarily stopping your live stream. The second break will come 5 minutes later.
There are no special settings, once you meet the minimum requirements, FaceBook will enable the feature for you, and then you and earn real money with your videos.
