Google Just Launched Google Assistant Go, A Lighter Version of Google Assistant Go

Google is really doing all they can to make sure every user out there benefits from what they're offering. We have seen several of the company's products which are specifically meant for a selected audience. For instance, Google Family Link is meant for parents and guardians to monitor their kid's or wards phones. We've also seen Android Oreo Go which is meant for Android phones with lower specs. And a whole lot of Go-Branded apps which the Google Assistant Go just made the list.

Google Assistant Go is a lower/lite version of the regular Google Assistant which I am sure that a million of Android users make use of in their Android phones. Google Assistant Go can run on Android 8.0 Oreo and above devices, but the device should be Go edition. You can visit Go-Branded Apps' Google Play page to check if your device is compatible or not. Once installed, you can open it the same way the regular assistant, by tapping and holding the menu button.

Several Thing You Can Do With Google Assistant Go

1.   Checking the weather status.

2.   Finding/searching for things on the web.

3.   Making phone calls

4.   Sending text messages

4.   Playing videos, music on YouTube

5.   Doing tough math calculations, etc.

Supported languages in the Google Assistant Go for now is only English language, with plans to support other languages like French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, etc in the future.

So, How is Google Assistant Go Different?

The primary difference between Google Assistant Go and your regular Google Assitant is the fact that the former uses space, data and overall requirements for operations.

The size of the Google Assistant Go is also smaller compared to the regular app, and that lead to the stripping of several features off the Go Assistance. Generally, it is lightweight but indeed still very powerful.
